This app was developed primarily for grade school children but is equally suitable for anyone who can read. For parents with children in the second grade or later, this is the product they could have only wished for up until now. As stated above, users will learn interesting and useful information pertaining to the first 10 states that joined the USA. But more importantly, the app will help them develop the ability to comprehend what they read and listen to.
This product, Set 1 of 5 of the 50 states in the USA, includes the following features and content:
-Ten subjects are presented on a scrolling menu. The ten subjects of this application are the first ten states to join the newly formed Union. By default, the ten subjects are presented in progressive order. This app includes a feature in the Configurator that allows the user to shuffle the subjects.
-Each of the ten subjects is followed by a test consisting of ten questions. The questions are normally presented in progressive order. This app includes a feature in the Configurator that allows the user to shuffle the questions.
-Subject material can be presented as scrolling text, as an audio track, or a synchronized combination of both. This feature is user definable in the Configurator.
-Immediately after selecting the desired subject, an on-screen timer begins the countdown. The available time for subject review and testing is user definable (60-600+secs)in the Configurator.
-With a simple finger gesture on the screen, the user can move to the test section. The user is presented with ten questions that relate directly to the subject matter. The answers to the questions are always shuffled.
-At any time, users can move freely from the active subject into the testing page and back again, just as they could if they taking a paper test in school.
-Upon the submission of responses, a warning is issued to the user if there are questions left unanswered. If time remains, the user will have the opportunity to answer any remaining questions.
-When the user is ready or the time runs out, the test is automatically graded and the results are posted at the top of the test page. The test will also show users the question responses they answered correctly and those answered incorrectly. The correct responses are given to questions that have not been answered correctly or not answered at all. Users can review their most recent test at any time.
-Basic test result information is conveniently presented on the scrolling subject menu. Users can also view their average score for all subjects in the bottom right corner of this screen.
-A Progress Report can be accessed with a simple 90 degree turn of the device. The Progress Report view contains detailed test result information that students will find useful. If students are using this app in Multi-Player Game mode, comparative test results are presented.
-Upon completion of all subjects, users will be presented with an option to select an “I’m Done Testing” button and upon its selection, the Progress Report becomes a Certificate of Completion.
-The test results can be e-mailed to a recipient established by the user in the Configurator. Hence, students can effortlessly send their test results to their friends, parents, or teachers.
-This application accommodates up to six users who each can maintain their own set of test results and configuration settings. This application also accommodates a Multi-Player Game mode.
